Father’s Day prostate cancer awareness campaign highlights:

4,914 free TV public service announcements. Valued at $58,212. Will appear on 11 cable stations in NH, MA and VT. Compliments of Comcast.

Three audio public service announcements sent to all NH radio stations. They feature Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas, Nashua Mayor Donnalee Lozeau and WGIR’s Charlie Sherman.

15 minute interviews on WGIR and WZID-FM.

Public service announcements/ad on WZID. 15 times a week for two weeks.

12 paid commercials on NH National Public Radio station, WEVO.

Exterior and interior ads on buses in Manchester and Nashua. Entire month of June.

Newspaper ads in Concord Monitor, Keene Sentinel, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Union Leader, Lebanon Valley News, Berlin Daily Sun, Claremont Times, Hippo Press, and NH To-Do magazine.

2,000 table tents in restaurants. Among them: The Yard, Madeleine’s Bakery, Pasquale’s. And others all over the state.

Special Father’s Day posters in doctors offices and hospitals.

3 minute interview on WMUR-TV.

30-second public service announcement on Channel 13 in Nashua. Will run during June.

Face Book and Twitter daily messages for month of June.

Letter to the Editor to all dailies and major weekly newspapers.

Feature story in Manchester Union Leader.

Goals of the Committee:

To encourage men to talk to their doctor about prostate cancer.

Urge women to ask the men in their life to talk to their doctor.

Father's Day Theme:

Prostate awareness is a family’s gift of a lifetime.

Budget: $4,000.

Regular Business News:

Directors will dedicate their June 17 Board meeting to discussing and adopting a policy on prostate cancer testing. Directors feel this issue is so important that they postponed the June 5 Strategic Plan Day to the fall.

Dr. John Heaney heads a committee of five which will bring in a recommendation. Members are Mike Anderegg, Bob Dedrick, Jim McCormick, Bill Mullen and Telisa Stewart.

Executive Comm. will meet on June 2.

Directors adopted a 2010 budget of $19,100. Budget Committee is Treasurer Russ Leonard, former treasurer Sal Magnano and VP Harry Purkhiser.
